O’Pro floor-standing electric water heater

Dry ceramic heating | 150L–300L

From evening showers to successive use across several bathrooms, plan a generous hot water reserve. VS150–VS300 models use dry ceramic heating with capacities from 150L to 300L, taking water conditions and maintenance access into account.

Limescale and water marks in everyday bathroom care

OUR STORY · It began with a shower door

You can clean limescale off a shower door.
What about the heating element inside?

In homes affected by limescale, the scene is familiar: white specks seem to return to the shower door after every use. As droplets dry, deposits remain on the glass. Without regular wiping, small marks gradually become a stubborn layer that takes real effort to remove.

At first, it was simply a frustration during cleaning. Repeated electric water heater service calls showed us that the limescale visible at home can also build up slowly inside the equipment.

We see the limescale on the shower door every day.
On a heating element, its thickness often becomes clear only after removal.

01 / From the bathroom to the service visit

Only when it is removed,
do you see what time has left behind.

Some conventional immersion elements we remove are wrapped in thick limescale. Their metal outline is almost hidden beneath uneven white layers, resembling a piece of stalactite. They remind us of the shower doors so many families struggle to keep clean.

On glass, limescale makes cleaning harder. On a heating element, it hinders heat transfer. Heavy, prolonged scaling can overheat the element and increase the risk of failure. Sometimes a sudden evening without hot water begins with deposits that have been building unnoticed for years.

02 / Caring for what remains out of sight

Having seen those deposits,
we pay closer attention to internal protection.

We wanted a heating design better suited to Taiwan’s water conditions. Drawing on service experience and feedback from Kinmen and Penghu dealers, we spent nearly a year in discussion and research with Atlantic before introducing dry ceramic heating models to Taiwan.

VS150–VS300 place the ceramic element in an enameled steel sheath, away from direct immersion and direct limescale buildup. For us, that choice reflects a simple wish: care for the hidden details so family hot water is less likely to be interrupted unexpectedly.

VS150–VS300 use dry ceramic heating. This does not soften water; the sheath and tank still require maintenance according to water conditions and use.

LE CONFORT À VOTRE MESURE

Every home,
has its own hot water rhythm.

Successive family showers, guests returning together or scheduled commercial cleaning create different demands. Along with capacity, assess peak use, recovery time, electrical supply and pipe lengths.

VS SERIES · DRY CERAMIC HEATING

VS150–VS300,
Protection built around the heating element.

A water heater faces daily heating and years of exposure to local water. The VS range uses Steatite dry ceramic heating to add a protective barrier between the element and the water.

From French homes to Taiwanese households, choosing comfort also means considering future maintenance and long-term use.

01

PROTECTION

Separated from water and direct deposits.

The ceramic element sits inside an enameled steel sheath and heats through it without direct immersion. In hard-water areas, this helps reduce direct limescale buildup on the element.

02

ÉCHANGE THERMIQUE

A larger surface for heat transfer.

The sheath provides a larger exchange surface to transfer heat into the tank. Dry heating protects the element with long-term operating stability in mind.

03

ENTRETIEN

Replace the element without draining the whole tank first.

If the sheath is intact and manufacturer procedures are followed, a professional can usually inspect or replace the dry element without draining the tank.

À L’INTÉRIEUR · INSIDE THE TANK

Three details,
explain dry ceramic heating.

1Magnesium anode
Helps protect the storage tank and reduce corrosion risk.
2Ceramic heating element + enameled sheath
The element is inside the sheath. Water contacts the outside of the sheath while the element stays dry.
3Temperature sensor sheath
Houses the sensor used to monitor water temperature inside the tank.

DURABILITÉ · LONG-TERM COMFORT

Heating, corrosion protection and insulation,
each with a clear purpose.

Enameled tank and magnesium anode
Enamel protects the steel tank, with a magnesium anode providing additional corrosion protection. The ceramic heating design protects the element; the anode protects the tank.
Insulation and inlet design
High-density insulation reduces storage heat loss, while the inlet design supports the tank’s hot water storage and delivery.
Good design still deserves regular care
Dry heating does not turn hard water into soft water. Limescale can still accumulate on the sheath and in the tank. A professional should schedule descaling and checks of the anode and seals according to water conditions and use.

Replacement without draining refers to the dry heating element. Flange removal, tank descaling and similar work still require draining according to manufacturer procedures.
