Water heaters encounter changing water conditions every day. Steatite Cube protects its ceramic heating element in a sheath, considering long-term use and future maintenance in the same design.
Consistent heat transfer
Heat passes through the sheath into the water. The sheath increases the heat exchange surface and supports the element’s operating conditions.
More convenient servicing
When the sheath is intact, the dry element can usually be replaced without first draining the tank, making professional servicing more efficient.

In the diagram, the ceramic element sits inside a sheath. Water touches the outside of the sheath while the element stays dry. The neighboring magnesium anode provides tank corrosion protection; the two parts have separate roles.
Dry heating does not soften water. The tank and sheath still need inspection and descaling according to local water conditions.

- A vitreous enamel coating creates a protective barrier for the steel storage tank.

- A sacrificial anode supplements tank corrosion protection. Inspect and replace it according to water conditions and the manufacturer’s maintenance instructions.

- Polyurethane insulation reduces heat loss during storage, complementing the heating system.

- Allow capacity for successive use while checking wall loading, the electrical circuit and maintenance clearance.

- Confirm inlet and outlet connections, pressure-relief drainage and control access. Plan installation around the model’s dimensions.
